The East is Sydney’s leading fine dining Chinese restaurant by the Opera House, Circular Quay. With both indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the Sydney Harbor Bridge, we proudly serve authentic Chinese cuisine, offering a diverse and delicious menu inspired by rich Chinese history.

Our menu is very extensive, with dishes that are hot and powerful to those that are more mild and subtle. Whether you’re craving sweet and sour flavors, or steamed natural aromas, or perhaps exotic herbs and spices, The East has dishes that will tantalize your taste buds.

“Loved it! Brought my family of five and we were seated on the esplanade with amazing views of the bridge and opera house - during Vivid Sydney no less. The food is spectacular; highly recommend the soft shell crab, XO Vermicelli Prawns, and shark fin soup (the best we had ever tasted by far). Add to that lightning quick and friendly service and we had an incredible night. The East should be listed with the bridge and opera house as a can't miss stop in Sydney!”
