The East is Sydney’s leading fine dining Chinese restaurant by the Opera House, Circular Quay. With indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the Sydney Harbor Bridge, we proudly serve authentic traditional Chinese cuisine, offering a diverse and delicious menu inspired by rich Chinese history. Our skilled and experienced chefs use only the finest produce and ingredients, and utilize innovative cooking techniques to perfect each and every dish.

Our menu is very extensive, offering dishes that are hot and powerful to those that are more mild and subtle. Whether you’re craving sweet and sour flavors, or steamed natural aromas, or perhaps exotic herbs and spices, The East has dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. With a seating capacity of over 180 people, The East is the perfect venue for all events from intimate parties to lavish weddings.

Minimum spend policy

  • Up to 6 people – $40 min spend per person* (no deposit required to secure booking^).
  • 7-10 people – $40 min spend per person* ($50 deposit required to secure booking^).
  • 11-20 people – $60 min spend per person* ($50 deposit required to secure booking^ and banquet or pre-order~ only).
  • 21-30 people – $80 min spend per person* ($100 deposit required to secure booking^ and banquet only).
  • 31 or more people – $100 min spend per person* ($200 deposit required to secure booking^ and banquet only).
